| Win Tickets to the Zoo |
In the Year of biodiversity, Taronga Zoo visitors can help
celebrate some important conservation anniversaries
including the first birthday of Asian Elephant calf ‘Luk Chai’. Luk Chai made history in July last year by
becoming the first elephant born in Australia, just three
years after Taronga started a conservation breeding
program for this endangered species.
The Western Lowland gorillas are also listed as
Critically Endangered. The dominant male Silverback
gorilla ‘Kibabu’ weighs in at 210 kilograms and recently
celebrated his 33rd birthday. Kibabu and his family are
now precious, helping to provide a safety net in case
of a complete collapse in the wild. Visitors can hear
about the gorilla group during the Gorilla Keeper Talk
at 11.30am daily, which explains how we can all make
a difference to their survival in the wild, simply by
recycling our mobile phones.
Village Life are giving you the chance to see Luk Chai
and Kibabu and to follow the Zoo’s Conservation Trail
which visits the world’s most endangered species. We
have 4 family passes (4 tickets each) to giveaway to
Taronga Zoo.
