The Village is seeing many changes this year. In
July we welcomed new retailer Flower Clothing, an
Australian design and retail label, based in Perth. St Ives was one
of the first 5 locations to open in NSW. Flower is a highly successful
fashion company with 24 stores nationally.
An exciting new phase will start for Wombat who have relocated
to Shop 31, opposite Sportscraft to make room for an expanded existing retailer. Leisures Shoe Boutique is launching a new look
and logo in a new location at Shop 63 opposite Book Review.
After over 15 years here in the centre, Intaglio Gallery will be
closing at the end of August as owner Catherine Nelmes takes
on new challenges. One of our existing retailers will move into
this shop creating an exciting new retail concept. Michael Hill
vacated in July allowing us to relocate an existing retailer to
create a new stand out shopping experience. Kaffir Lime Thai
restaurant has opened on Mona Vale Road next to Bendigo Bank
and on the upper fashion level we will soon welcome a new
fashion retailer with more news to come soon.
Additionally, the whole centre has been painted and lighting
reviewed as part of our 50 year celebrations. Over the next year
floor coverings will be updated, mall furniture revamped and
bathroom amenities refreshed.
As we approach the start of the 50th anniversary celebration
in September we are still seeking community memories. If you
have a photo of the area that you would like to share, or an old
advertisement from the 1960’s, 70’s, 80s and 90s, we would love
to see them. All images will be copied and
returned to you. Contact our Centre Office
Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm to discuss.
