Monthly Market Room Food Sessions |
Join us for an interactive cooking event in the Market Room. Delightful tastings and great tips on how to make family favourites. Learn some new tricks of the trade!
Friday 10 February, 11am - 2pm
We welcome two of the authors/cooks (Natanya and Merelyn) from The Monday Morning Cooking Club - the food, the stories, the sisterhood. Their self published book celebrates the joys of cooking and sharing with family and friends. They will bring to The Village this joy, demonstrating some of their favourite recipes such as Challah from Heaven, Hummus, Slow-Roasted Spring Lamb with Pomegranate, served as a summer salad and Plumb Cake, an old Eastern European recipe that is absolutely delicious. Ku-Ring-Gai Art Society Autumn Show and Sale |
12 - 18 March
Enjoy the wide selection of paintings available from the Ku ring gai Art Society members at The Village on 14-20 March. A great experience for young and old to see many talented local artists. Exhibiting members of this prestigious society, many highly acclaimed and award-winning artists, will showcase their latest works, with approximately 200 artworks on exhibition and for sale on the Cowan Level of the Village.
The artworks range in style from traditional to contemporary and include painting, drawing and printmaking techniques; a wide selection of highly affordable and desirable acquisitions.

NSW Seniors Week |
Thursday 22 March, 9am - 4pm
Co-ordinated by Ku Ring Gai council and hosted by St Ives Shopping Village the day brings together all local not for profit community organizations that can assist with and maintain a healthy active seniors lifestyle.
Friday 23 March, The Village High Tea
Now in its 8th year! Be serenaded and entertained at the Seniors Week High Teas with Vov Dylan.
Three sessions: 10am, 12noon and 2pm.
Vov Dylan returns to St Ives Shopping Village for the ever popular Seniors Week Tea Dance in 2012. Alongside Vov will be members of his Orchestra and award winning ballroom dancers who have been touring throughout NSW, and selling out venues everywhere they go.
Vov will delight you with melodies from around the world. There'll be movie tunes you can sing along to, beats to get you dancing and mixture of virtuosity and humour that will leave you wanting more. Guests will be served a traditional high tea of tea, ribbon sandwiches and sweet treats. Presented by The Village Concierge.
Cost: $8 per person ($6 with bookings of 10 or more made and paid at same time). Bookings essential at Centre Management and close on March 22nd. Seats are strictly limited so be early!

Friday Fashion for a Cause - UN Women Projects
Friday 30 March, 2 parades 11am and 1pm
A fund-raising event for International Women's Day, hosted by Juanita Phillips, ABC TV newsreader plus guest speaker Dr Cindy Pan. Fashions will be presented from around the Centre with an extra International feel to celebrate International Women's Day. Special reserved seating with bonus vouchers and refreshment served, seats are $20 with $10 from every ticket going to assist a UN Women project.
Weekend Showcase Parades, 31 March and 1 April
Four parades Saturday and Sunday 11am, 12noon, 1pm and 2pm. See the best the Village has to offer for women, men and children's fashions.

The Easter Bunny Hops into The Village

Presented by The Marian Street Theatre for Young People our friendly Easter bunny will be on hand to distribute Darrell Lea mini chocolate Easter Eggs.
Exclusive Birthday Club Event
Wednesday 11 April at 2pm
The Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea Party. Join us for a magical afternoon tea for St Ives Village Birthday Club Members. Enjoy a simple afternoon tea of cup cakes, fresh fruit and juice plus entertainment - Adrian Dean Magic Show, face painting, Easter craft activity, gift bag and more!

Face Painting

Easter, Mad Hatter and Alice in Wonderland motifs.
Cost $2 per face paint with proceeds going to children's charities.
Edible Art Cooking Workshops
Thursday 12 and Friday 13 April, 11am - 2pm
Create your own kitchen edible masterpiece. Be creative, have fun and take it home to eat! The monthly Fresh Food Market Room Session will be part of the event as Rena and her team demonstrate easy to make recipes for children and provide guidance to those participating to make what is being demonstrated. Each session will have a savoury and sweet idea to make.
30 minute sessions run at 10am, 11am, 12pm, and 1pm each day.
Cost $6 per child. Bookings essential as spaces limited. Bookings will open on March 19th.
Activity located in the Market Room.
Bead Workshops,
16 - 22 April, Daily 10am - 4pm
Children can make bead creations such as a necklace or a bracelet and earrings for just $5. Using of a variety of beads mostly acrylic, resin or alloy. Suitable for a variety of age groups.
Children can select from an assortment of kits/beads, larger beads for the younger children and smaller or more challenging activities for the older children.
The Bead Craft team will assist the children that require help to complete their activities and encourage them to have fun!
No booking required; $5 per item made.
In addition kits, beads and tools will be available for sale for those interested in taking them away for beading at home.
Free QUESTACON Super Science Shows
Thursday 19 and Friday 20 April, 10am and 12noon
See the crazy scientists from Questacon as they conduct science experiments and then join them in their workshops for hands on fun.
With ALL BOOKED & PAID activities we provide a FREE coffee/tea voucher to the parents/carers of each child participating OR a Bakers Delight Finger Bun voucher per child from Bakers Delight - conditions do apply.

Jewish Choral Festival
Shir Madness is excited to announce their partnership in March 2012 with the Australian Jewish Choral Festival (AJCF). Presented by Jewish Arts Inc., this inaugural event will take place at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Many Jewish singers come together annually to learn about, sing and celebrate Jewish choral music.

Walk Your Way To Better Health
Tuesday and Friday Mornings

St Ives Shopping Village, together with The Athletes Foot St Ives, and St Ives Physiotherapy & Sports Therapy Centre is offering the VIP members of St Ives Shopping Village to join "The Village Walkers" walking club. Together with your membership you will get two supervised walks per week with Health & Fitness experts, a free T-Shirt and Cap and discount vouchers for Athlete's Foot and St Ives Physiotherapy & Sports Therapy Centre.
